Now trying to shut this meter off is, as the old saying goes, like “trying to shovel smoke with a pitchfork in the wind” (J. Lennon). It’s almost impossible, and in the case of the current political climate…..it IS impossible. Let me explain and exemplify exactly what has occurred in recent years, and my personal reaction to it.
Now for over half a dozen years, we’ve been fighting a war on terror. A war that was forward facing, directed outward against foreign attacks on our freedom, our liberty, our way of life. But anyone who has had their eyes open, and has chosen to see, will no doubt come to the same conclusion as I have. As the new president (small “p”) has found a fondness in quoting scripture during a recent radio broadcast with religious leaders on the subject of healthcare, I shall do the same in quoting that “the wolves are IN the house”; that “our house has become divided against itself”, and will not continue to stand. Our country, freedoms, liberties and way of life may not fall in such a tangible way as the Towers did on that day that changed the world, but they are none the less eroding like a sand castle trying to endure a heavy, sustained tide.
To stay silent at this time and in this climate is to act as the disjointed intelligence agencies that allowed those complicit in the 9/11 attacks to enter this country, stay here illegally, board a plane and kill over 3,000 people in our citizenry. To watch as policies are made by self-confessed communist “CZARS” betrays every American soldier whose blood was spilled in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. The very concept of “wealth re-distribution” through taxes and domestic policy betrays the very principles on which this nation was founded. And as I think back on my many discussions as a teenager with one of my neighbors (a vet of WWII – Sgt. Pacific – The “Greatest” Generation), who has long since passed away, I can only think about the Politically Correct dolts trampling the freedoms he fought to defend on blood soaked beaches against foreign enemies. And now, the US is starting to look and act as those regimes from which Americans liberated the world from over 50 years ago….not the least of which is a policy of appeasement toward others and apology(?) for the US????!
My neighbor, more accurately, my friend, was willing to die for the freedoms, liberties and a way of life that most of us have had the privilege to be raised in. So, who in good conscious can remain silent while the very tenants and definition of America and American are challenged down to the core?
So in light of my inability to stay silent and place the country our children will inherit in the hands of the “Worst” generation, I’ll continue to speak out, and would encourage you to do the same.
You can no longer sit on the sidelines of opinion as this country literally bows down to special interests internally and hostile foreign regimes worldwide. And if we expect to pass on an America to our children that holds its elect to the foundation and representation of their constituents best interests, instead of cowers in the face of the elitist governing forces, that border on monarchy, we need to challenge everyone in elected office……from the city dog catcher to the president (again with a small “p”).
Let me provide you with a few billboards along the highway we’ve traveled in just the past 12 months:
We now have a Congress (and a new board of “Czars”, answerable only to the president…a little loophole in the Constitution that Emannual and/or his brother found) full of folks who have never held a JOB other than being installed as an elected official or part of elected officials’ staff (i.e. gofers). They’ve never balanced a budget, met a payroll, understood micro-economics, international business, balance of trade…..etc. They’re in the club…..and that’s where they’ll stay. We have allowed them to stay in the club by entrenching ourselves in raising our families and working the 1, 2 or 3 jobs that are required to give them (our families) an acceptable standard of living and education….understandable, but no longer acceptable.
We have lost the ability to speak out against the president and his policies unless you’re ready to be labeled a racist, part of a mob, terrorist, Nazi, stupid, ignorant, a piece of “astro-turf”, Ms./Mr. Palin, a homophobe, a religious nut, McVey wanna-be, a person who clings to “his/her guns and religion”….yada yada.
Speaking out against the p and his policies gets your neighbors and other organizations to turn you into the government for “fishy” activity.
We accept the notion that freedom in America means that everyone should not only have the same opportunity to succeed, but be guaranteed the same result via a level playing field regulated by the power-elite….WRONG! In America you have the opportunity and freedom to succeed AND the opportunity and freedom TO FAIL.
The p is now seeking the ability to CONTROL THE INTERNET. If passed this bill, introduced by some dolt from the Carolinas, would give NoBama the ability to shut down the internet…..thereby stopping dissenting opinion, retail commerce, and the various financial activities that currently occur (stock trading and investment banking). Let me make this a little more personal to some of you…..he’ll shut down Facebook and your little farm too!!!! Now if that doesn’t call you to action, I don’t know what will!!
The p is also now calling for what amounts to a civilian militia to protect our local communities…..protect them from WHAT? Isn’t that why we have a police force and if need be, a National Guard? I guess that doesn’t get down close enough to the individual as the “community organizer” would like. And you know, he’s all about saving ourselves FROM ourselves…..hmmm can you say German SA Unit? This is just a more intimate conduit to intimidate and report “fishy” behavior on your block….insert Rod Serling from the Twilight Zone
And NOW…..well, they complain about literally blowing smoke in the face of a captured terrorist as torture…WHAT?! We read Miranda rights to battlefield combatants…WHAT?! We’re going to shut down GITMO and put these brainwashed lemmings into US general populist facilities (or some Caribbean Island where they can golf all day)…while looking to prosecute our own citizens for “harsh interrogation techniques”…WTHell is wrong with these people! Who’s side are they on?! No…really?
Might I suggest that there’s the Pro-American pool, the anti-American world view pool, and the governmental elitist pool, aka The New Greatest Snow on Earth….The Soros Puppets. And this just breaking…..King Kennedy’s replacement…his 2nd wife??? WTHell is that?!!! Where does this type of logic come from? What qualifies this woman to be a Senator….the fact that she was involved with a Kennedy death that was not linked to an airplane, a bullet or…..a small trip off a real bridge to nowhere?!!!
And this list is just a quick list of the items I can think of in the couple of minutes it took to type up a bullet-point on each. We haven’t even gotten to the healthcare, cap and trade, and general energy policy (where, as mentioned above, the US Government…yes, NoBama, you and I)…..finance Brazilian off-shore drilling while refusing to drill here in the US???? How serious can this dolt be about getting off of foreign oil??? As serious as Soros wants him to be!
So wake up my friends…..this is not a Coke commercial where we all sing “I’d like to teach the world to sing…”; we’re not “back in the USSR”…yet.; but lately we are “walking quietly while carrying a……glass of milk and a big frickin’ cookie” to every hostile state and tyrant on the world stage; As Jack N., put so easily “Sell crazy somewhere else Nobama…we’re all stocked up here”!
Now these sub-human leaches that we call politicians are not the only ones to blame. Many folks think that politicians lie to the public….from FDR to Nixon, from Bush 43 to NoBama and the ultra left nuts that support him. But, and pay attention, we are to be held MORE culpable than any of them. Here’s a news flash….Politicians don’t lie to us…..they just re-enforce the lies we’ve told ourselves to the point of internalizing them as truth.
